1060 Aluminum Bar is a commercially pure aluminum product from the 1xxx series, containing a minimum of 99.6% aluminum. It is characterized by excellent electrical conductivity, superior thermal conductivity, outstanding corrosion resistance, and exceptional formability. Compared with aluminum alloys from other series, 1060 aluminum bar prioritizes conductivity, surface quality, and processing performance rather than mechanical strength.
Due to its low density of approximately 2.7 g/cm³, 1060 aluminum bar is lightweight and easy to handle, while maintaining stable performance across a wide temperature range. It cannot be strengthened by heat treatment, but it performs extremely well in cold working, bending, drawing, extrusion, and machining processes. The material also shows excellent weldability and is suitable for TIG, MIG, and resistance welding.
1060 aluminum bar has a smooth surface finish and responds very well to anodizing, polishing, and surface coating, making it suitable for both functional and decorative applications.
